From my previous post of How to Become and Stay Successful in Life., I wanted to do a follow up to discuss how one may be able to polish or start achieving their success.
I tend to study people’s behavior and the way they react to many situations in life. One very common thing that I’ve noticed among people who I think are successful and are pretty good at managing their life whether its social, personal or work is that they always stay positive.
The key to better managing your life, is to stay positive.
Believe it or not, Life is really hard to live. It is not always full of sunny days. It tries to beat you down the moment you face it. But what you can do is take control of EVERYTHING that comes your way and try to turn it into a positive thing. You might struggle to turn negative events into positive results but don’t forget for every ying there is a yang. You just have to take the time to turn it around. Nothing will always be the way you want it to be at first. However, you sure can turn it to your favor.
Now lets move on to how to stay positive. Simple. Think Positive.
Positive thinking is an art that can help you manage your life better. Moreover, Positive thinking is not something that will fall one day from the sky but it needs effort and skills to be able to achieve it. By start thinking positive you will disperse positive energy to the universe and place you self in a position that will allow you not only to manage your life better but it will also help you to raise your self-esteem and self-confidence.
Here is something a bit odd to some people. But, have you ever thought that the thoughts that pass through our head are responsible for that happens in our lives? What we think essentially becomes how we live!
They way we think affects our behavior, mood, emotions, how we see things and the way we act in our universe. With the power of thinking positive, we can change the events in our lives to have better outcomes.
Our thoughts have the attribute to pass and be stored in our subconscious, which can affect our behavior and our reactions. The thoughts we share with other people are affecting them positively or negatively. Our thoughts can create feelings of love and respect or feelings of anger or hatred.
Thoughts become actions!
Changes in our lives, radical or not will only happen when we take control of our thinking. We have to filter the negative out and embrace the positive and the beauty in contains now little or how big it may be.
Some of you might think, well its easy to just talk about positive thinking, but how do I actually go about doing it? Well I’m going to demonstrate 10 effective ways that can help all of us start thinking more positively.
1. Start Thinking About Success
Create in your mind a indelible image of yourself as a successful person. I mean, really close your eyes and see yourself as a successful person whatever you want it to be. Keep this strong image and do not ever allow it to fade. TRUST ME, over time this picture will evolve within you and the details will become reality in front of your eyes. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, have in your mind the success you see in yourself regardless of how negative things seems to be at the moment.
2. Overcome You Fears
Do not build your mind with fears or obstacles. For every great success there are hundreds of small obstacles. The difficulties must be studied and dealt with effectively to be eliminated. DO NOT runaway from your fears because often fear exaggerates the obstacles you are facing and hides their true dimension.
3. Transform your Thoughts to Physical Images
Create positive images, leaving the negative out. To start thinking positive, you have to create positive images in your mind and take advantage of the inspiration and creativity they will create. Find images of what you think, online or in nature. If you’re dream is to have a new car, then find the picture of the car you want and put it in front of you and look at it every day and imagine yourself driving it every day happy!.
4. Do Not get Impressed Easily by Others
This is probably the smartest advice I can give you. Do not get overly impressed by others so as to copy them. Dont copy anyone, but try to become better than them! Their success may not be the same as yours.
Success is not measured by what one accomplishes, but how hard one works to accomplish what they desire.
5. Learn to Better Yourself
Study yourself. Look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you’re AWSOME!.. Really say it!. Find what is causing your “obstacles” or your “fears” and find a solution to resolve them.
6. Make Realistic Assessment of YOUR Skills
Lets face it, WE CAN, yes, I said WE CAN all become millionaires if we wanted to. BUT, at this moment do you have the skills to do so? Make a realistic assessment of your skills and then increase them by 30%. Get into the uncomfortable zone of pushing your limits. This will allow you to expand your skills. You MUST believe in the forces and means to create a rock solid sense of yourself. Only when you believe in yourself will you be able to start thinking positive and expand your skills.
7. Find Alternative creative Solutions to your Problems
Often times, the first solution to our problems fails, and we have to go with Plan B. What I’m suggesting to you is to start thinking of Plan C, D, E, F, G ,….etc. why? This will expand your creative mind and will allow you to see problems differently and approach them from different angles. Doing this, problems will no longer be cause you will always have a solution for them
. Some solutions may not be to your liking, but after all they still take care of the problem.
8. Use Your Time Efficiently
Many say, work hard, and you will see benefits. But I say, work SMART! Think and try to find ways to simplify and facilitate your daily obligations. whether is work, social or personal. The more time you have to yourself, the more you can focus on personal development.
9. Solve Your Everyday Problems
Focus to solve some of the operational problems of everyday life and then direct the power of your positive thinking to try and shape your next steps in your lives, your personal relations in your career and your family.
10. DO NOT Stop dreaming
This is the best advice I can give you. NEVER, NEVER stop dreaming of who you want to become and what you want to accomplish in your life. There is always a solution to a problem. Never give up and DREAM!
Dream now what you would like to be in your life, your relationship, your work and think about it intensely with as many details as you can. We must do this every day thinking, again and again and again!
Do not ignore fears, but find the positive change in them. You will see that with time your life will become more beautiful.
